St Andrew's Community Hall - An Appeal
Our Community Hall is now over one hundred years old and the external fabric is in urgent need of repair to maintain the facility and keep it as a resource for our local community.
We have planning permission to refurbish the hall with new cladding for the walls and roof and to provide additional enhancements that will make the building an even greater community asset.
We need to raise £150,000 to complete the project and on 20th November we launched our appeal to raise at least £50,000 of this from the local community with our "Interest-Free Loan Plan". If you could help with a loan of £500 to our project please contact the Community Hall manager for more details. There is more information on the project here.
Welcome to St Andrew's
St. Andrew's Church is a Christian community in the village of Reading Street, Broadstairs, in the Diocese of Canterbury. We are an active and growing Church, offering a genuine and friendly welcome to all ages, with an openness and concern, both for one another, and for the wider community, who regularly use our excellent hall facilities.
There is a Junior Church which meets in the Church Hall during the 10 am Sunday Service. Parents are welcome to stay with their children or join the rest of the congregation in the church.
We also have our affiliated uniformed organisations that regularly join with us for worship.
St. Andrew's has a strong choral tradition with a competent four part choir.
The Voyagers Group works with all the congregation to raise money, both for local charities and mission abroad, and their activities form the main element in the social life of our Church.
Please come back to revisit our site soon, or better still, come and visit us in person.
